Qaraa

وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَوٰةٍ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۚ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ

وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ اَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلٰى حَيٰوةٍ ۛوَمِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اَشْرَكُوْا ۛيَوَدُّ اَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍۚ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهٖ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ اَنْ يُّعَمَّرَۗ وَاللّٰهُ بَصِيْرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ࣖ

wa latajidannahum aḥraṣan-nāsi 'alā ḥayāh, wa minallażīna asyrakụ yawaddu aḥaduhum lau yu'ammaru alfa sanah, wa mā huwa bimuzaḥziḥihī minal-'ażābi ay yu'ammar, wallāhu baṣīrum bimā ya'malụn

Dan sungguh kamu akan mendapati mereka, manusia yang paling loba kepada kehidupan (di dunia), bahkan (lebih loba lagi) dari orang-orang musyrik. Masing-masing mereka ingin agar diberi umur seribu tahun, padahal umur panjang itu sekali-kali tidak akan menjauhkannya daripada siksa. Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka kerjakan.

And you will surely find them the most greedy of people for life - [even] more than those who associate others with Allah. One of them wishes that he could be granted life a thousand years, but it would not remove him in the least from the [coming] punishment that he should be granted life. And Allah is Seeing of what they do.

وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ

وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمۡ

dan sungguh kamu mendapati mereka

And surely you will find them

أَحْرَصَ

اَحۡرَصَ

sangat serakah

(the) most greedy

ٱلنَّاسِ

النَّاسِ

manusia

(of) [the] mankind

عَلَىٰ

عَلٰى

atas

for

حَيَوٰةٍۢ

حَيٰوةٍ ۛۚ

kehidupan

life

وَمِنَ

وَ مِنَ

dan dari

and (greedier) than

ٱلَّذِينَ

الَّذِيۡنَ

orang-orang yang

those who

أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۚ

اَشۡرَكُوۡا ۛۚ

(mereka) musyrik

associate[d] partners (with Allah)

يَوَدُّ

menginginkan

Loves

أَحَدُهُمْ

اَحَدُهُمۡ

masing-masing mereka

(each) one of them

لَوْ

لَوۡ

sekiranya

يُعَمَّرُ

diberi umur

he could be granted a life

أَلْفَ

اَ لۡفَ

seribu

(of) a thousand

سَنَةٍۢ

سَنَةٍ ۚ

tahun

year(s)

وَمَا

dan tidak

But not

هُوَ

dia

بِمُزَحْزِحِهِۦ

بِمُزَحۡزِحِهٖ

dengan melepaskannya

(will) remove him

مِنَ

dari

from

ٱلْعَذَابِ

الۡعَذَابِ

siksaan

the punishment

أَن

اَنۡ

bahwa

that

يُعَمَّرَ ۗ

يُّعَمَّرَؕ

dipanjangkan umur

he should be granted life

وَٱللَّهُ

وَاللّٰهُ

dan Allah

And Allah

بَصِيرٌۢ

بَصِيۡرٌۢ

Maha Melihat

(is) All-Seer

بِمَا

terhadap apa

of what

يَعْمَلُونَ

يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ‏

mereka kerjakan

they do
