Qaraa

وَعَلَى ٱلثَّلٰثَةِ ٱلَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَن لَّا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّآ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

وَّعَلَى الثَّلٰثَةِ الَّذِيْنَ خُلِّفُوْاۗ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْاَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ اَنْفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوْٓا اَنْ لَّا مَلْجَاَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ اِلَّآ اِلَيْهِۗ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوْبُوْاۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ ࣖ

wa 'alaṡ-ṡalāṡatillażīna khullifụ, ḥattā iżā ḍāqat 'alaihimul-arḍu bimā raḥubat wa ḍāqat 'alaihim anfusuhum wa ẓannū al lā malja`a minallāhi illā ilaīh, ṡumma tāba 'alaihim liyatụbụ, innallāha huwat-tawwābur-raḥīm

dan terhadap tiga orang yang ditangguhkan (penerimaan taubat) mereka, hingga apabila bumi telah menjadi sempit bagi mereka, padahal bumi itu luas dan jiwa merekapun telah sempit (pula terasa) oleh mereka, serta mereka telah mengetahui bahwa tidak ada tempat lari dari (siksa) Allah, melainkan kepada-Nya saja. Kemudian Allah menerima taubat mereka agar mereka tetap dalam taubatnya. Sesungguhnya Allah-lah Yang maha Penerima taubat lagi Maha Penyayang.

And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allah is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

وَعَلَى

وَّعَلَى

dan atas

And on

ٱلثَّلَـٰثَةِ

الثَّلٰثَةِ

tiga

the three

ٱلَّذِينَ

الَّذِيۡنَ

orang-orang yang

(of) those who

خُلِّفُوا۟

خُلِّفُوۡا ؕ

(mereka) ditinggalkan

were left behind

حَتَّىٰٓ

حَتّٰۤى

sehingga

until

إِذَا

اِذَا

apabila

when

ضَاقَتْ

ضَاقَتۡ

terasa sempit

(was) straitened

عَلَيْهِمُ

عَلَيۡهِمُ

atas mereka

for them

ٱلْأَرْضُ

الۡاَرۡضُ

bumi

the earth

بِمَا

dengan apa/padahal

though

رَحُبَتْ

رَحُبَتۡ

luas

it was vast

وَضَاقَتْ

وَضَاقَتۡ

dan terasa sempit

And (was) straitened

عَلَيْهِمْ

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

atas mereka

for them

أَنفُسُهُمْ

اَنۡفُسُهُمۡ

jiwa mereka

their own souls

وَظَنُّوٓا۟

وَظَنُّوۡۤا

dan mereka mengira

and they were certain

أَن

اَنۡ

bahwa

that

لَّا

tidak ada

(there is) no

مَلْجَأَ

مَلۡجَاَ

tempat lari

refuge

مِنَ

dari

from

ٱللَّهِ

اللّٰهِ

Allah

إِلَّآ

اِلَّاۤ

kecuali/melainkan

except

إِلَيْهِ

اِلَيۡهِ ؕ

kepada-Nya

to Him

ثُمَّ

kemudian

Then

تَابَ

Dia menerima taubat

He turned (in mercy)

عَلَيْهِمْ

عَلَيۡهِمۡ

atas mereka

to them

لِيَتُوبُوٓا۟ ۚ

لِيَتُوۡبُوۡا ؕ

agar mereka bertaubat

that they may repent

إِنَّ

اِنَّ

sesungguhnya

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

اللّٰهَ

Allah

هُوَ

Dia

ٱلتَّوَّابُ

التَّوَّابُ

Maha Penerima taubat

(is) the Acceptor of repentance

ٱلرَّحِيمُ

الرَّحِيۡمُ‏

Maha Penyayang

the Most Merciful
