Qaraa

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًا ۗ قُلْنَا يٰذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّآ أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّآ أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا

حَتّٰىٓ اِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِيْ عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَّوَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا قَوْمًا ەۗ قُلْنَا يٰذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ اِمَّآ اَنْ تُعَذِّبَ وَاِمَّآ اَنْ تَتَّخِذَ فِيْهِمْ حُسْنًا

ḥattā iżā balaga magribasy-syamsi wajadahā tagrubu fī 'ainin ḥami`atiw wa wajada 'indahā qaumā, qulnā yā żal-qarnaini immā an tu'ażżiba wa immā an tattakhiża fīhim ḥusnā

Hingga apabila dia telah sampai ketempat terbenam matahari, dia melihat matahari terbenam di dalam laut yang berlumpur hitam, dan dia mendapati di situ segolongan umat. Kami berkata: "Hai Dzulkarnain, kamu boleh menyiksa atau boleh berbuat kebaikan terhadap mereka.

Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness."

حَتَّىٰٓ

حَتّٰٓى

sehingga

Until

إِذَا

اِذَا

tatkala

when

بَلَغَ

dia telah sampai

he reached

مَغْرِبَ

مَغۡرِبَ

tempat terbenam

(the) setting place

ٱلشَّمْسِ

الشَّمۡسِ

matahari

(of) the sun

وَجَدَهَا

dan dia mendapatkannya

he found it

تَغْرُبُ

تَغۡرُبُ

ia terbenam

setting

فِى

فِىۡ

dalam

عَيْنٍ

عَيۡنٍ

mata (air)

a spring

حَمِئَةٍۢ

حَمِئَةٍ

lumpur hitam

(of) dark mud

وَوَجَدَ

وَّوَجَدَ

dan dia mendapatkan

and he found

عِندَهَا

عِنۡدَهَا

disisinya

near it

قَوْمًۭا ۗ

قَوۡمًا ؕ

kaum

a community

قُلْنَا

قُلۡنَا

Kami berkata

We said

يَـٰذَا

يٰذَا

hai Dzulkarnain

O Dhul-qarnain

ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ

الۡقَرۡنَيۡنِ

hai Dzulkarnain

O Dhul-qarnain

إِمَّآ

اِمَّاۤ

adapun

Either

أَن

اَنۡ

bahwa

[that]

تُعَذِّبَ

kamu menyiksa

you punish

وَإِمَّآ

وَاِمَّاۤ

dan adapun

أَن

اَنۡ

bahwa

[that]

تَتَّخِذَ

kamu mengambil

you take

فِيهِمْ

فِيۡهِمۡ

dalam/terhadap mereka

[in] them

حُسْنًۭا

حُسۡنًا‏

berbuat kebaikan

(with) goodness
