Qaraa

ذٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشَّهٰدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَآ أَوْ يَخَافُوٓا۟ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمٰنٌۢ بَعْدَ أَيْمٰنِهِمْ ۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفٰسِقِينَ

ذٰلِكَ اَدْنٰٓى اَنْ يَّأْتُوْا بِالشَّهَادَةِ عَلٰى وَجْهِهَآ اَوْ يَخَافُوْٓا اَنْ تُرَدَّ اَيْمَانٌۢ بَعْدَ اَيْمَانِهِمْۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاسْمَعُوْا ۗوَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفٰسِقِيْنَ ࣖ

żālika adnā ay ya`tụ bisy-syahādati 'alā waj-hihā au yakhāfū an turadda aimānum ba'da aimānihim, wattaqullāha wasma'ụ, wallāhu lā yahdil-qaumal-fāsiqīn

Itu lebih dekat untuk (menjadikan para saksi) mengemukakan persaksiannya menurut apa yang sebenarnya, dan (lebih dekat untuk menjadikan mereka) merasa takut akan dikembalikan sumpahnya (kepada ahli waris) sesudah mereka bersumpah. Dan bertakwalah kepada Allah dan dengarkanlah (perintah-Nya). Allah tidak memberi petunjuk kepada orang-orang yang fasik.

That is more likely that they will give testimony according to its [true] objective, or [at least] they would fear that [other] oaths might be taken after their oaths. And fear Allah and listen; and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

ذَٰلِكَ

ذٰ لِكَ

demikian

That

أَدْنَىٰٓ

اَدۡنٰٓى

lebih dekat

(is) closer

أَن

اَنۡ

agar

that

يَأْتُوا۟

يَّاۡتُوۡا

mereka datang

they will give

بِٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ

بِالشَّهَادَةِ

dengan kesaksian

the testimony

عَلَىٰ

عَلٰى

atas

وَجْهِهَآ

وَجۡهِهَاۤ

sebenarnya

its (true) form

أَوْ

اَوۡ

atau

يَخَافُوٓا۟

يَخَافُوۡۤا

mereka takut

they would fear

أَن

اَنۡ

akan

that

تُرَدَّ

dikembalikan

will be refuted

أَيْمَـٰنٌۢ

اَيۡمَانٌۢ

sumpah

their oaths

بَعْدَ

بَعۡدَ

sesudah

after

أَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ ۗ

اَيۡمَانِهِمۡؕ

sumpah mereka

their (others) oaths

وَٱتَّقُوا۟

وَاتَّقُوا

dan bertakwalah

And fear

ٱللَّهَ

اللّٰهَ

Allah

وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ ۗ

وَاسۡمَعُوۡا ؕ

dan dengarkanlah

and listen

وَٱللَّهُ

وَاللّٰهُ

dan Allah

and Allah

لَا

tidak

(does) not

يَهْدِى

يَهۡدِى

memberi petunjuk

guide

ٱلْقَوْمَ

الۡقَوۡمَ

kaum

the people

ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ

الۡفٰسِقِيۡنَ‏

orang-orang yang fasik

the defiantly disobedient
