Qaraa

ثُمَّ كَانَ عٰقِبَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسٰٓـُٔوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ أَن كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

ثُمَّ كَانَ عَاقِبَةَ الَّذِيْنَ اَسَاۤءُوا السُّوْۤاٰىٓ اَنْ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَكَانُوْا بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ࣖ

ṡumma kāna 'āqibatallażīna asā`us-sū`ā ang każżabụ bi`āyātillāhi wa kānụ bihā yastahzi`ụn

Kemudian, akibat orang-orang yang mengerjakan kejahatan adalah (azab) yang lebih buruk, karena mereka mendustakan ayat-ayat Allah dan mereka selalu memperolok-oloknya.

Then the end of those who did evil was the worst [consequence] because they denied the signs of Allah and used to ridicule them.

ثُمَّ

kemudian

Then

كَانَ

adalah

was

عَـٰقِبَةَ

عَاقِبَةَ

akibat

(the) end

ٱلَّذِينَ

الَّذِيۡنَ

orang-orang yang

(of) those who

أَسَـٰٓـُٔوا۟

اَسَآءُوا

(mereka) berbuat kejahatan

did evil

ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ

السُّوۡٓآٰى

kejahatan (lebih buruk)

the evil

أَن

اَنۡ

karena

because

كَذَّبُوا۟

كَذَّبُوۡا

mereka mendustakan

they denied

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

بِاٰيٰتِ

dengan ayat-ayat

(the) Signs

ٱللَّهِ

اللّٰهِ

Allah

(of) Allah

وَكَانُوا۟

وَكَانُوۡا

dan adalah mereka

and were

بِهَا

dengannya/padanya

of them

يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ‏

mereka memperolok-olok

making mockery
