Qaraa

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرٰٓءِيلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ قَالُوا۟ لِنَبِىٍّ لَّهُمُ ٱبْعَثْ لَنَا مَلِكًا نُّقٰتِلْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ هَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْقِتَالُ أَلَّا تُقٰتِلُوا۟ ۖ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نُقٰتِلَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ أُخْرِجْنَا مِن دِيٰرِنَا وَأَبْنَآئِنَا ۖ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقِتَالُ تَوَلَّوْا۟ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّنْهُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِٱلظّٰلِمِينَ

اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الْمَلَاِ مِنْۢ بَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مُوْسٰىۘ اِذْ قَالُوْا لِنَبِيٍّ لَّهُمُ ابْعَثْ لَنَا مَلِكًا نُّقَاتِلْ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ ۗ قَالَ هَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ اِنْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ اَلَّا تُقَاتِلُوْا ۗ قَالُوْا وَمَا لَنَآ اَلَّا نُقَاتِلَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَقَدْاُخْرِجْنَا مِنْ دِيَارِنَا وَاَبْنَاۤىِٕنَا ۗ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ تَوَلَّوْا اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا مِّنْهُمْ ۗوَاللّٰهُ عَلِيْمٌ ۢبِالظّٰلِمِيْنَ

a lam tara ilal-mala`i mim banī isrā`īla mim ba'di mụsā, iż qālụ linabiyyil lahumub'aṡ lanā malikan-nuqātil fī sabīlillāh, qāla hal 'asaitum ing kutiba 'alaikumul-qitālu allā tuqātilụ, qālụ wa mā lanā allā nuqātila fī sabīlillāhi wa qad ukhrijnā min diyārinā wa abnā`inā, fa lammā kutiba 'alaihimul-qitālu tawallau illā qalīlam min-hum, wallāhu 'alīmum biẓ-ẓālimīn

Apakah kamu tidak memperhatikan pemuka-pemuka Bani Israil sesudah Nabi Musa, yaitu ketika mereka berkata kepada seorang Nabi mereka: "Angkatlah untuk kami seorang raja supaya kami berperang (di bawah pimpinannya) di jalan Allah". Nabi mereka menjawab: "Mungkin sekali jika kamu nanti diwajibkan berperang, kamu tidak akan berperang". Mereka menjawab: "Mengapa kami tidak mau berperang di jalan Allah, padahal sesungguhnya kami telah diusir dari anak-anak kami?". Maka tatkala perang itu diwajibkan atas mereka, merekapun berpaling, kecuali beberapa saja di antara mereka. Dan Allah Maha Mengetahui siapa orang-orang yang zalim.

Have you not considered the assembly of the Children of Israel after [the time of] Moses when they said to a prophet of theirs, "Send to us a king, and we will fight in the way of Allah "? He said, "Would you perhaps refrain from fighting if fighting was prescribed for you?" They said, "And why should we not fight in the cause of Allah when we have been driven out from our homes and from our children?" But when fighting was prescribed for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

أَلَمْ

اَلَمۡ

ٱلْمَلَإِ

الۡمَلَاِ

pemuka-pemuka

the chiefs

مِنۢ

مِنۡۢ

dari

بَنِىٓ

بَنِىۡٓ

Bani

(the) Children

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ

Israil

(of) Israel

مِنۢ

مِنۡۢ

dari

from

بَعْدِ

بَعۡدِ

sesudah

after

مُوسَىٰٓ

مُوۡسٰىۘ

Musa

إِذْ

اِذۡ

ketika

when

قَالُوا۟

قَالُوۡا

mereka berkata

they said

لِنَبِىٍّۢ

لِنَبِىٍّ

kepada seorang Nabi

to a Prophet

لَّهُمُ

untuk mereka

of theirs

ٱبْعَثْ

ابۡعَثۡ

angkatlah

Appoint

لَنَا

untuk kami

for us

مَلِكًۭا

مَلِکًا

seorang raja

a king

نُّقَـٰتِلْ

نُّقَاتِلۡ

kami berperang

we may fight

فِى

فِىۡ

سَبِيلِ

سَبِيۡلِ

jalan

(the) way

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

اللّٰهِؕ

Allah

(of) Allah

قَالَ

dia (Nabi) berkata

He said

هَلْ

هَلۡ

apakah

Would

عَسَيْتُمْ

عَسَيۡتُمۡ

kamu mungkin sekali

you perhaps

إِن

اِنۡ

jika

كُتِبَ

کُتِبَ

diwajibkan

prescribed

عَلَيْكُمُ

عَلَيۡکُمُ

atas kalian

upon you

ٱلْقِتَالُ

الۡقِتَالُ

berperang

[the] fighting

أَلَّا

اَلَّا

tidak mau

that not

تُقَـٰتِلُوا۟ ۖ

تُقَاتِلُوۡا ؕ

kamu berperang

you fight

قَالُوا۟

قَالُوۡا

mereka berkata

They said

وَمَا

dan mengapa

And what

لَنَآ

bagi kami

for us

أَلَّا

اَلَّا

tidak mau

that not

نُقَـٰتِلَ

نُقَاتِلَ

kami berperang

we fight

فِى

فِىۡ

سَبِيلِ

سَبِيۡلِ

jalan

(the) way

ٱللَّهِ

اللّٰهِ

Allah

(of) Allah

وَقَدْ

وَقَدۡ

dan sesungguhnya

while surely

أُخْرِجْنَا

اُخۡرِجۡنَا

kami telah diusir

we have been driven

مِن

مِنۡ

dari

from

دِيَـٰرِنَا

دِيَارِنَا

rumah atau kampung halaman kami

our homes

وَأَبْنَآئِنَا ۖ

وَاَبۡنَآٮِٕنَا ؕ

dan anak-anak kami

and our children

فَلَمَّا

maka tatkala

Yet, when

كُتِبَ

کُتِبَ

diwajibkan

was prescribed

عَلَيْهِمُ

عَلَيۡهِمُ

atas mereka

upon them

ٱلْقِتَالُ

الۡقِتَالُ

berperang

the fighting

تَوَلَّوْا۟

تَوَلَّوۡا

mereka berpaling

they turned away

إِلَّا

اِلَّا

kecuali

except

قَلِيلًۭا

قَلِيۡلًا

sedikit/beberapa (orang)

a few

مِّنْهُمْ ۗ

مِّنۡهُمۡؕ

diantara mereka

among them

وَٱللَّهُ

وَاللّٰهُ

dan Allah

And Allah

عَلِيمٌۢ

عَلِيۡمٌۢ

Maha Mengetahui

(is) All-Knowing

بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

بِالظّٰلِمِيۡنَ‏

terhadap orang-orang yang dzalim

of the wrongdoers
