Qaraa

أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِدُلُوكِ ٱلشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَقُرْءَانَ ٱلْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْءَانَ ٱلْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا

اَقِمِ الصَّلٰوةَ لِدُلُوْكِ الشَّمْسِ اِلٰى غَسَقِ الَّيْلِ وَقُرْاٰنَ الْفَجْرِۗ اِنَّ قُرْاٰنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُوْدًا

aqimiṣ-ṣalāta lidulụkisy-syamsi ilā gasaqil-laili wa qur`ānal-fajr, inna qur`ānal-fajri kāna masy-hụdā

Dirikanlah shalat dari sesudah matahari tergelincir sampai gelap malam dan (dirikanlah pula shalat) subuh. Sesungguhnya shalat subuh itu disaksikan (oleh malaikat).

Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night and [also] the Qur'an of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.

الۡـفَجۡرِؕ

fajar

إِنَّ

اِنَّ

sesungguhnya

indeed

قُرْءَانَ

قُرۡاٰنَ

bacaan

the Quran

ٱلْفَجْرِ

الۡـفَجۡرِ

fajar

(at) the dawn

كَانَ

adalah

مَشْهُودًۭا

مَشۡهُوۡدًا‏

disaksikan

ever witnessed

Tafsir Ayat 78

(Dirikanlah salat dari sesudah matahari tergelincir) artinya sejak dari matahari tergelincir (sampai gelap malam) hingga kegelapan malam tiba; yang dimaksud adalah salat zuhur, asar, magrib dan isyak (dan bacaan di waktu fajar) yakni salat subuh (sesungguhnya bacaan di waktu fajar/salat subuh itu disaksikan) oleh malaikat-malaikat yang berjaga pada malam hari dan malaikat-malaikat yang berjaga pada siang hari.
